Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1. About these terms
imright.co.uk (“I'm Right”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [OPERATOR / LEGAL NAME — to be supplied]. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2. This is entertainment
I'm Right is a novelty service. Verdicts are generated automatically by an AI model, they are written for comic effect, and they may be wrong, incomplete or unfair. A verdict is an opinion produced by software, not a judgment, ruling or determination of any kind, and it has no legal force whatsoever.
Nothing on this site is legal, medical, financial, employment, safety or other professional advice. Do not rely on a verdict to make any decision that matters. If something matters, speak to a qualified professional.
3. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
4. What you may submit
You are responsible for everything you submit, and you confirm you have the right to submit it. Use first names or nicknames only. Don't include surnames, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, links or sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.
You must not submit content that:
- is illegal, or encourages or facilitates anything illegal;
- is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful or discriminatory;
- is sexual, sexually explicit or involves minors in any sexual context;
- makes false or damaging allegations about a real, identifiable person (defamation);
- contains other people's personal information, or special category data such as health, religious or sexual-orientation details;
- infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks or other rights;
- is spam, advertising, or an attempt to manipulate the service;
- is submitted by automated means, or is designed to overload, probe or interfere with the service.
5. Verdict links and public cases
Every verdict gets a long, randomly generated link. It is unguessable, but anyone you give it to can open it — so treat a shared link as public.
Your case is private by default. If you choose “Submit to Recent Cases” we will consider it for publication. Submitting does not publish anything: a case only appears in Recent Cases, on the /cases page or in search engines once we have approved it. If we approve it, the dispute topic, the two names, the winner, the verdict headline, the confidence score and the date become publicly visible. Your argument text is never published.
If you use “Summon the other side”, your challenge link is private and unguessable, and it lapses after 7 days if nobody replies. Only send it to someone who is happy to receive it. Do not use summonses to harass, pressure or abuse anyone, and do not include personal information about other people. We can remove a summons or a case at any time, and reports can be sent to us from the summons page.
6. Licence you give us
You keep whatever rights you have in what you submit. By submitting a case you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, adapt for formatting, display and (if you submit it for publication and we approve it) publish and share that content on and in connection with this site. You can withdraw a pending submission at any time, and you can ask us to unpublish or delete an approved case by emailing privacy@imright.co.uk with the verdict link.
7. Moderation and removal
We may review, refuse, edit, unpublish or permanently delete any submission or verdict at any time, with or without notice, at our discretion — for example if it breaks these terms, names a real person, or someone reports it. We are not obliged to keep any content available, and we are not obliged to publish anything you submit.
If you see something that shouldn't be public, use “Report this case” on the verdict page or email privacy@imright.co.uk.
8. Our intellectual property
The I'm Right name, branding, design, text, code and the presentation of the site belong to us or our licensors. You may share verdict links and use the sharing buttons freely. You may not copy, scrape, republish in bulk, resell or build a competing service from our content or data without our written permission.
9. Availability, fair use and rate limits
The service is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw it at any time. To keep costs sane and block abuse we apply limits on how many verdicts one person can request, how many can be produced in a day, and we may pause verdicts entirely. Automated access, scraping and attempts to evade these limits are not permitted.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all your statutory rights and nothing here affects them.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we give no warranty that verdicts are accurate, fair or fit for any purpose; we are not liable for any decision you or anyone else takes on the basis of a verdict; and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of goodwill, or loss of data arising from your use of the site. We are not responsible for content that users submit, or for third-party sites you reach through sharing buttons.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy & Cookie Notice explains what we do with data, including the AI processing involved in producing a verdict.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
